At Little Explorers Nursery, we offer a comprehensive curriculum that is tailored to meet the developmental needs of each child. Our curriculum is based on The Early Years Foundation Stage Framework that outlines the standards for education, development and care of children from birth to 5 years old for Ofsted registered settings. We use a variety of teaching strategies and materials to engage children in active learning and help them develop a love of learning that will last a lifetime. Inspiring Curiosity
The rooms are designed with children in mind and provide a safe and comfortable environment for learning and exploration. We have spacious classrooms that are equipped with age appropriate resources, as well as a large outdoor area where children can engage in physical activity and explore nature. Our facilities are clean, safe and well-maintained to ensure that children have the best possible learning experience.
Our mindfulness sessions give children simple, enjoyable ways to pause, relax and become aware of their thoughts and feelings.
Through breathing, gentle movement, stories and calming activities, we help children develop self-awareness, emotional wellbeing and positive strategies for managing their feelings.
Our cooking sessions provide children with fun, hands-on experiences where they can explore ingredients, try new tastes and develop practical skills.
From mixing and measuring to creating their own recipes, cooking encourages independence, creativity, communication and early maths skills while making learning enjoyable.
Show and Tell sessions give children the opportunity to share special objects, experiences and ideas with their friends and teachers.
They help build confidence, develop communication and listening skills, as they learn to express themselves in a supportive and encouraging environment.
Our science sessions inspire curiosity, discovery and wonder. Exciting, hands-on experiments, encourage questions, make predictions and explore how the world around them works.
These experiences develop early problem-solving, observation and critical-thinking skills while making learning fun and memorable.
We encourage a love of reading from an early age through our weekly reading book programme.
Children enjoy sharing carefully chosen stories at nursery and at home, helping to develop their language, imagination and confidence while creating special opportunities for parents and children to read together.
The program supports children’s early mathematical development through fun, practical and engaging experiences.
Children build confidence with numbers, counting, patterns, shapes, measures and problem-solving through play and everyday activities, helping them develop a strong foundation for their future learning.
Spanish lessons introduce the children to the everyday words in Spanish including numbers and colours. Each weekly lesson combines fun with exciting games, songs and activities.
Through magical story based music and dance the activities encourage communication, observation, problem solving, thought sharing and decision making! All with a performance for parents twice a year.
